Edmonds had a big day against Lewisville. He stroked a single scoring a run in the 3rd inning, delivered a one-base hit in the 7th inning and cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun (his 12th of the season) in the 8th inning. Detroit had 14 hits overall, while Lewisville had 9. The win went to John Lackey(3-2) who allowed 4 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Mark Buehrle(4-4) was the losing pitcher. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
